Elina Garanča

Elina Garanča looks forward to returning to the concert stage this autumn, beginning with two concerts alongside Dmitri Hvorostovsky in the Siberian baritone’s home country. The Latvian mezzo-soprano joins her star colleague for a pair of Hvorostovsky and Friends concerts at Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace (October 29) and St. Petersburg’s Oktyabrskiy Hall (November 2). Constantine Orbelian conducts both performances.

Three days following the end of her Russian residency, Elina Garanča turns to Geneva’s Victoria Hall for a gala concert with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande led by Karel Mark Chichon (November 5).

Elina Garanča then returns to the opera stage for four performances of Massenet’s Werther at the Wiener Staatsoper (November 11, 14, 16, 20). As Charlotte, she stars opposite Matthew Polenzani in the title role. Frédéric Chaslin conducts, with November 16’s performance scheduled for webcast as part of Wiener Staatsoper Live.
